IT ALL BEGINS WITH AN IDEA
I have no formal training in writing or editing — just a natural talent for storytelling and a creative mind that never stops imagining. That creativity inspired me to write my first novel, a project that has challenged and fulfilled me in ways I never expected. Although it’s still in the editing phase, I’m incredibly proud to have written, designed, edited, and published a book entirely on my own. It’s been both an honor and a reminder of what passion and persistence can achieve.
SYNOPSIS
Cass Morgan thought she’d left her past buried in the quiet woods of Maine. Now the host of a hit true-crime podcast, she spends her days dissecting other people’s mysteries—until a DNA hit in an old police database reopens the one that destroyed her own family.
Haunted by the murder of her mother in what police called a burglary gone wrong, Cass and her co-host Emmy launch an on the road live-show tour. Officially, it’s to meet fans. Secretly, Cass is retracing the trail of suspects, witnesses, and lies that have followed her since childhood. But the deeper they dig, the clearer it becomes that someone doesn’t want the past disturbed—and that someone close may know more than they’re letting on.
When a photograph surfaces linking Cass’s aunt to a woman she doesn’t recognize, she’s pulled into a web of hidden identities, revenge, and betrayal that stretches decades. As the truth unravels, Cass discovers that the killer might not be a stranger at all—and that her mother’s death was only the beginning of a story that’s far from over.
