PORTFOLIO
Hey, I’m Danielle.
I design websites, create content, and obsess over the little details that make things look good and work well. I’m entry-level, but fueled by big ideas, curiosity, and a slightly unhealthy relationship with color palettes and clean layouts.
I fell in love with design because it’s the perfect mix of creativity and strategy — it lets me tell stories, solve problems, and make things that people actually want to click on. Right now, I’m building my skills, growing my toolkit, and diving headfirst into projects that push me to learn (and occasionally Google how to fix what I just broke).
I’m all about thoughtful, user-first design, and I’m excited to keep learning, collaborating, and making things that feel just right — for both people and pixels.

Career: Under Construction with Minimal Supervision
Here’s some of my work—pieces I’ve created while practicing, cover tests, experimenting, and pushing myself to grow as a designer. I’m always learning, and these projects are part of that journey.
Tantor Media Cover Design Test – Graphic Design Interview Assignment
As part of my graphic design interview with Tantor Media, I was given a 4-hour challenge: design an original audiobook cover for Murder in the Book Lover’s Loft by Ellery Adams.
Objective: Create a compelling, genre-appropriate cover that aligns with Tantor’s visual standards while standing on its own in the audiobook market.
Task Highlights:
Work within a provided PSD template
No AI tools or assets
Reference (but not copy) the print edition’s tone, fonts, and palette
Use layered photo elements to build a polished, marketable design
Deliverables:
Final cover (PSD + JPG/PNG)
All original photo assets
My Role:
Concept & visual direction
Image sourcing & compositing
Layout, typography, and final polish
I was also prepared to walk through my creative process, explain design decisions, and show how my cover connects with the original book brand.

Influur Social Media Design Challenge
Unpaid Internship Application – Influencer Marketing Startup
Overview:
As part of the application for an internship at Influur, I completed a 2-hour creative test to demonstrate my design skills, trend awareness, and ability to work quickly using AI and digital tools.
Objective:
Design a bold, on-brand Instagram post that appeals to digital creators and reflects current cultural trends.
Task:
Selected Option 2: “Your Creative Take for Influur’s Feed”
Deliverables included:
1 Instagram post (JPG/PNG)
30-word caption
Creative notes (tools used, inspiration, improvement ideas)
Creative Direction:
The post should feel bold, creator-focused, and culturally relevant (music, fashion, trends, entertainment).
My Role:
Concept & design
Trend research
Caption writing
Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Timeline: ~2 hours, completed within 1 week
Creative Direction & Inspiration:
I was inspired by the concept of a free and open world—bold yet simple. The use of orange tones reflects energy and creativity, while the overall design emphasizes clarity and impact.
What I’d Improve with More Time:
With more time, I’d refine every pixel and allow more space for creative exploration to fully elevate the concept.

Call-to-Action Poster Design
Adobe Illustrator Project – Color & Grayscale Versions
For this milestone project, I designed an 11” x 17” call-to-action poster using Adobe Illustrator, based on a client-provided design brief. The goal was to visually communicate a clear, compelling message using strategic layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
Color Poster Highlights:
Applied the principle of emphasis to highlight the call-to-action as the focal point
Organized text and visuals using hierarchy to guide the viewer’s eye
Incorporated design elements such as line, shape, space, and alignment for a cohesive layout
Chose black and white typography to ensure maximum legibility
Used a harmonious color palette with strong contrast to enhance impact
Included at least one image from the approved Image and Graphic Bank, with appropriate attribution
Grayscale Poster:
Created a grayscale version of the color poster using best practices for versioning in Illustrator
Adjusted contrast and composition to ensure the message remained strong without color
Both versions were exported as high-quality PDFs. This project showcases my ability to interpret client briefs, apply design principles, and produce print-ready marketing materials with technical precision and visual clarity.
